IDF Disciplines Female Soldier Filmed with Controversial Social Media Star Clavicular
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) imposed disciplinary measures on a female soldier from the international communications branch of the IDF Spokesperson's Unit after she was filmed alongside social media influencer Brayden Eric Peters, known as Clavicular, sparking public outrage. The soldier received a conditional imprisonment sentence, which will be enforced if she commits another disciplinary offense. Additionally, she was stripped of her role as a social media coordinator, a position she was trained for during the IDF spokesperson course, and was immediately transferred to a different unit. With less than two months remaining in her regular service, she is not expected to take on any significant roles before her discharge.
The controversy began when Peters posted videos showing him with the soldier in civilian clothes. In one clip, he asked her for access to the official IDF TikTok account, which she could access due to her role. Peters was seen making inappropriate advances toward the soldier, including attempting to kiss her on camera, which she rejected, and lifting her onto his lap in public. These videos, combined with her access to official IDF accounts, intensified the backlash.
Peters arrived in Israel on the night between Wednesday and Thursday, and his visit generated significant social media attention. Criticism came both from within Israel and internationally, partly due to his past controversial statements and associations. The backlash intensified after videos surfaced showing Peters with content creators Snico, Nick Fuentes, and Andrew Tate singing Kanye West's "Hail Hitler" at a Miami club about six months ago, with some attendees giving Nazi salutes.
