IDF to Discipline Soldier Who Appeared with Controversial Influencer Visiting Israel

Shira Brown, an Israeli content creator and manager of the IDF's international TikTok page, was filmed alongside Braden Eric Peters, known as Clavicular, a controversial streamer and influencer visiting Israel. Brown's association with Peters, who was previously recorded performing a Nazi salute at a Miami club and is linked to antisemitic influencers, sparked public backlash and severe online threats against her, including calls for violence.

Brown shared some of the threatening messages on her Instagram stories, condemning the calls for her murder and emphasizing that such threats are unacceptable regardless of opinions on the event. During an 11-hour live stream across Tel Aviv with Peters, Brown also demonstrated a yoga move to him, which gained significant attention online. She further appeared in videos with Peters on the streaming platform Kick.

The IDF confirmed that Brown acted without coordinating with her commanders and stated her conduct does not meet the standards expected of IDF soldiers. An investigation is underway, and disciplinary measures will be taken. Peters, associated with the Looksmaxxing movement focused on enhancing physical appearance, has a controversial reputation due to his past behavior and misogynistic attitudes.

During his visit to Israel, Peters was removed from the "Lolly" club at Gordon Beach after provoking other patrons and refusing to turn off his camera when requested by security. Despite some public support, many have criticized his disrespectful treatment of women and questioned the appropriateness of Brown's involvement with him. The incident has stirred debate about the boundaries of soldiers' conduct and the influence of contentious figures in Israeli society.
