IDF to Discipline Soldier Who Appeared with Controversial Influencer Visiting Israel

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced disciplinary action against soldier Shira Brown after she was filmed alongside controversial influencer Brayden Eric Peters, known as Clavicular, during his visit to Israel. Brown, a content creator and co-manager of the IDF's international TikTok page, accompanied Peters during an 11-hour live stream around Tel Aviv, drawing criticism due to his associations with antisemitic influencers and his past provocative behavior. The IDF stated Brown acted without coordinating with her commanders and that her conduct does not meet military standards.

Brown shared on Instagram the severe threats she received following the videos, including calls for violence against her. She condemned the threats, emphasizing that "calls for the murder of a Jewish woman are not 'defending Israeli women.'" The influencer, who was previously filmed performing a Nazi salute in a Miami club alongside other antisemitic figures, was also removed from a Tel Aviv nightclub after causing disturbances.

During the live stream, Brown demonstrated a yoga move to Peters, which garnered around 350,000 views on Instagram, and showed him the possibility of posting on the IDF TikTok account, a plan later canceled after she explained it could lead to her imprisonment. Additional videos show Brown accompanying Peters in other activities, including workouts and interviews, some of which sparked further backlash online.

The IDF confirmed the incident is under investigation and reiterated that Brown will face disciplinary measures. Peters' visit remains controversial both internationally and within Israel due to his past conduct and misogynistic reputation. Public reactions included warnings about his disrespectful attitude toward women and calls for national self-respect.
