Elhanan Mizrahi to Be Released from Military Prison with Festive Welcome in Jerusalem

Elhanan Mizrahi, a student at the Tiferet Yonatan Yeshiva in Jerusalem, is set to be released from military prison tomorrow morning after serving ten days. The yeshiva community is preparing a special reception for him, with students and the yeshiva head, Rabbi Israel Meir Zvichi, planning to greet him at the prison gates at 8:00 a.m. Following a morning prayer service, Mizrahi will travel back to the yeshiva in a luxury armored vehicle, where a celebratory breakfast and words of encouragement will be held in his honor.

Rabbi Zvichi told Kikar HaShabbat that significant efforts were made to secure Mizrahi's release before the fast of Tisha B'Av, which was initially scheduled for the day of his full sentence completion. These efforts included financial resources and the involvement of various parties. The rabbi emphasized the special significance of Mizrahi's release occurring on the eve of Tisha B'Av, viewing it as a hopeful sign after the challenging period following his arrest.
