Israeli Police Charge Two Brothers from Wadi Ara with Illegal Weapons Possession

Israeli police have filed formal charges against two brothers, aged 24 and 27, from Wadi Ara on suspicion of illegal possession and carrying of firearms. The investigation initially focused on potential security offenses and was conducted in cooperation with the Shin Bet security service. However, by the conclusion of the inquiry, suspicions regarding security-related crimes were dropped. Investigators from the YALP unit in the Asher district confirmed that the brothers possessed M-16 rifles, handguns, and ammunition. Both suspects were detained, their remand extended, and they are now expected to face indictment.
