Darline Graham, sister of the late pro-Israel U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, has declared her candidacy for a full six-year Senate term representing South Carolina. She made the announcement in a Fox News interview following her recent appointment to complete her brother’s term until January 2027 after his sudden death. Lindsey Graham passed away on July 11 at age 71 due to an aortic dissection caused by cardiovascular disease.

Darline emphasized her commitment to continuing her brother’s legacy, stating, "He worked so hard for so many years. I can’t just let that disappear. I have to step into his shoes and carry on his work." She highlighted her deep connection to South Carolina residents and her readiness to serve, noting that she is the first woman to represent the state in the Senate.

Unlike Lindsey Graham, who focused largely on national security and foreign policy, Darline plans to prioritize domestic issues affecting everyday citizens, such as food and fuel prices, healthcare, and insurance. She described her decision to run as accompanied by "immense pressure" but also a sense of "inner peace." She also shared the personal impact of her brother’s death, calling it "very difficult" and describing him as her rock and a parental figure.
