Guy Bar Lev Appointed CEO of Israel Aerospace Industries, Succeeding Boaz Levy

Guy Bar Lev, currently the Vice President and head of the Missiles and Space Division at Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), has been appointed as the new CEO of the company. He will replace Boaz Levy, who has been named chairman of the board. Levy previously served as head of the Missiles and Space Division before becoming CEO. Bar Lev's appointment was approved by IAI's board and awaits final confirmation from Defense Minister Israel Katz, the Minister in charge of Government Companies David Amsalem, and the senior appointments committee.

Bar Lev, 57, joined IAI in 2016 after a long military career, concluding as a Brigadier General and chief intelligence officer, mostly serving in the Armored Corps. For the past six years, he has led the division responsible for developing and producing air defense systems such as Arrow and Barak MX, as well as the Ofeq reconnaissance satellites. Under his leadership, the division secured a $6.5 billion export deal for the Arrow-3 system with Germany.

Bar Lev holds a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences and business management from Ben-Gurion University and a master's degree in integrated social sciences and security studies from the National Security College at the University of Haifa. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

Boaz Levy praised Bar Lev's extensive experience and success in managing the missile and space systems division, highlighting the division's technological breakthroughs and its critical role in Israel's recent conflicts. Bar Lev expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and emphasized the company's significant business transformation over the past decade, noting the ongoing challenges and opportunities to expand IAI's presence in existing and new markets.
