Israeli Police Arrest Man for Suspected Wedding Shooting in Tur'an Village

Israeli police arrested a 30-year-old Arab man from Tur'an on suspicion of firing a gun during a wedding celebration in the northern village. The incident came to light after police received reports of gunshots at the wedding venue. Authorities conducted covert surveillance on the suspect and arrested him outside the event at a nearby construction site. During the arrest, the suspect allegedly threw the firearm out of a building window, but police recovered the weapon at the scene.

The suspect's detention was extended by the court, and police plan to request another extension to continue their investigation. The Israel Police Northern District, with assistance from Border Police forces, has seized over 500 illegal firearms and arrested numerous armed suspects since the start of the year.
