Israel Holds Farewell Ceremony for Ambassador Michael Brodsky in Uman

A festive farewell event was held today in the city of Uman to honor Michael Brodsky, the outgoing Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine, marking the end of his tenure. The ceremony was hosted by the Breslov Center and Uman’s Chief Rabbi, Yaakov Jan. Attendees included prominent figures such as Rabbi Meir Stambler, chairman of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Ukraine; Rabbi Shaul Horowitz of Vinnytsia; Rabbi Moti Levanetz, Chabad emissary in Kyiv and head of the Simcha School; Levi Adrei, a representative of the Jewish Federation; Matityahu Shapira and Naftali Rabinovich from United Hatzalah; Eli Yifrah, Deputy Foreign Ministry Director; Israeli Consul in Moldova Sagie Rabovsky; Nahman Steinberg, emissary of the Zionist Federation in Ukraine; Michael Pinto, CEO of the Breslov Center; Uman Deputy Mayor Oleg Ganich; and Shlomi Elisha, a community activist in Uman.

During the event, participants expressed their appreciation for Ambassador Brodsky’s dedication to strengthening Israel-Ukraine relations, his commitment to the Jewish community, and his significant contributions throughout his service, especially during Ukraine’s challenging times. The ceremony concluded with well-wishes for Brodsky’s future endeavors and hopes for continued strong ties between the State of Israel, Ukrainian Jewry, and the Ukrainian people.
