Allen Carr Launches Smoking Cessation Program Tailored for Ultra-Orthodox Community in Elad
Allen Carr, in collaboration with the Elad Municipality and led by the advertising agency Gil Group Digital, has initiated a specialized smoking cessation workshop designed specifically for the ultra-Orthodox community in Elad. The program offers subsidized access to proven professional tools to help residents quit smoking, adapting the method to fit the lifestyle of the Haredi population.
Ahead of the program's launch, senior representatives from Allen Carr, including board member Davis Goldman, and the Gil Group Digital team met with prominent rabbis from Elad to present the cessation method and the tailored support plan. The rabbis expressed strong support for the initiative, encouraging smokers to take advantage of this opportunity for a healthier life.
Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Grossman, the chief rabbi of Elad, warmly endorsed the project, urging all smokers to join the program for their own benefit and that of their families. Rabbi Mordechai Malka emphasized the religious obligation to maintain bodily health as a divine trust and the responsibility to avoid harmful habits. Rabbi Israel Zusha Horowitz highlighted the commandment to guard one’s health and described quitting smoking as a significant personal and spiritual effort. Rabbi Avraham Lemberger warned about the growing smoking problem in the ultra-Orthodox community, calling it a "real disaster" and stating that helping someone quit smoking is akin to saving an entire world.
Gil Group Digital noted that the initiative aims to make Allen Carr’s globally recognized cessation method accessible to Elad’s ultra-Orthodox residents, reflecting a commitment to public health, quality of life, and family welfare. They thanked the Elad Municipality and its head, Rabbi Yehuda Botbol, for their ongoing efforts to promote the well-being of the city’s inhabitants.
