New Glamping Site Opens in Northern Golan Offering Comfortable Outdoor Stays

A new glamping site opened in April last year at Kibbutz Ortal in the Golan Heights, aiming to provide a modern outdoor experience that balances nature with comfort. The site features around 30 tents spread across a shaded pine grove, with paved walking paths and luggage carts for guests. The tents are simple but spacious, equipped with parquet floors, air conditioning, and comfortable beds, accommodating up to six people. Some tents include private bathrooms with showers, while others share locked bathroom facilities.

Guests bring their own food and cook in a central kitchen area equipped with refrigerators, sinks, and electric stoves. The site also offers picnic tables, a fire pit, and a barbecue area. The glamping location benefits from its proximity to local attractions such as the kosher Tel Shifon winery, the Gilabon meat restaurant, and the newly opened Beer Garden in nearby Ein Zivan, which offers local brews and German-style snacks.

Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy nearby hiking and swimming spots, including the Gilabon Stream with its waterfalls and the popular Ein Mokes spring. Prices vary by tent type and season, with a July night for a family of four costing between 760 and 808 shekels for the mid-range "Forest" tent, while the more basic "Earth" tent costs around 665 shekels. During peak holiday periods, minimum stays of two nights are required, with prices ranging from 1,200 to 2,300 shekels.
