Religious Zionism Party Sets Physical Voting for Upcoming Primaries with Limited Remote Options

The Religious Zionism party's election committee announced key updates ahead of its internal primaries for the 26th Knesset, scheduled for next Sunday. The committee decided that voting will primarily be conducted in person, with limited remote voting allowed only in exceptional cases. Approximately 200 party central committee members will participate, largely determining the party's candidate list for the upcoming Knesset elections.

The decision to hold physical voting was made to maximize participation and create a significant event on election night. After thorough discussions and consultations with central committee members, the committee arranged two polling stations: one in the afternoon in Jerusalem and another in the morning at the party's campaign headquarters on Shaked Street 9 in the Modi'in Industrial Zone. The morning polling station aims to accommodate members unable to attend the evening vote due to reasons such as vacations or family weddings.

Remote voting eligibility is restricted to specific cases, including reservists on active duty orders on election day, hospitalized or homebound individuals with medical certification, and members abroad with pre-booked flights made before the election date announcement. Voters are required to bring valid identification such as an ID card, driver's license, or physical passport.

The morning polling station will operate from 08:00 to 11:00, while the Jerusalem station will be open from 16:30 to 19:30. Following the vote, the party will hold a dinner, a central committee meeting, and announce the election results. The election committee members who signed the announcement include Yehuda Wald, Eyal Pins, Eva Pinsh, Avital Reichner, Effi Rifkin, Menachem Gendel, Rafael Slav, Yoel Tubyana, Yehoshua Sherman, and Mousa Cohen.
