Report Details Terms of the Deal: 60-Day Ceasefire, Opening of the Strait of Hormuz and Halt to Attacks
The Saudi channel Al Hadath reported, citing sources, that "the agreement includes a 60-day ceasefire, during which they will reach a permanent political arrangement, and will include the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and an end to military operations. As part of the agreement, the United States will ease sanctions on Iran and lift the blockade. The nuclear talks will include uranium enrichment, verification and inspection mechanisms, and future restrictions. In addition, no final commitments will take effect until a comprehensive agreement is reached."
The report also said that "dialogue on Lebanon and regional security will continue after the agreement. Washington will consider additional economic steps during the negotiations period and will provide gradual access to selected frozen Iranian assets."
