Yaakov Scores 8 Points and 10 Assists in Ostend Loss
Noam Yaakov's Ostend lost today, Thursday, in a game in which it could have clinched the championship at home, falling 70:69 in dramatic fashion to Antwerp, which forced a fifth game in the tense Belgian final series.
The Israeli guard missed a shot that could have decided the game at the end. Yaakov struggled offensively, shooting 2-of-13 from the field, including 0-of-4 from three-point range and 4-of-8 from the free-throw line, but he handed out 10 assists in a game in which his team erased a 10-point deficit and even led 67:69 before a big Antwerp three-pointer forced another game. Rashid Blue scored 23 points with 10 rebounds and 8 assists in the win, while Silas Melson led Ostend with 16 points.
