Maksim Pilonenko Signs With Ironi Kiryat Ata After Two Seasons at Elitzur Netanya
Ironi Kiryat Ata has officially announced the signing of young center Maksim Pilonenko, who joins the northern club after two seasons with Elitzur Netanya. The 2.08-meter tall, 20-year-old player, a graduate of Israel's youth national teams, appeared in 10 games last season for Netanya, averaging 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.
Ilan Nanikashvili, the team's professional manager, expressed pride and enthusiasm about Pilonenko's arrival, calling him a promising young talent. He added that the club expects Pilonenko to make significant progress this season, following the development pattern of other young players who have advanced substantially while at Kiryat Ata.
The signing was first reported by Sport 5 and marks another step in Ironi Kiryat Ata's efforts to strengthen their roster ahead of the upcoming Israeli Basketball Premier League season.
