Dylan Batubinsika Joins Romanian Club Steaua Bucharest After Leaving Greek Team
Dylan Batubinsika, the 30-year-old central defender from the Democratic Republic of Congo, has signed with Romanian football club Steaua Bucharest. Batubinsika previously played one season for Maccabi Haifa during the 2022/23 campaign, contributing significantly to their championship-winning season. After being released by Greek club Larissa, which was relegated to the second division, Batubinsika sought a new team. Despite receiving offers from Israeli clubs including Maccabi Netanya, Hapoel Petah Tikva, and negotiations with Hapoel Ramat Gan, where he was reportedly offered 250,000 euros per season, he ultimately chose to continue his career abroad. At Steaua Bucharest, he will reunite with former teammate Ofri Arad. This move confirms that Batubinsika will not be returning to play in Israel in the near future.
