Carrington Agrees to Join Hapoel Tel Aviv
The move is getting closer. As reported: Hapoel Jerusalem’s naturalized player is expected to move to the EuroLeague club, Sport 5 reported on 11.06.26, 22:55.
Hapoel Jerusalem ended its season this evening after being eliminated in the semifinals by Hapoel Tel Aviv, but beyond the game itself, the capital club will also lose one of its most important players, who is set to join the Reds from Tel Aviv this coming summer after agreeing to the terms of the deal.
Hapoel Tel Aviv’s interest in Carrington was first reported here on the Sports Channel. The Sports Channel has learned that Kadin Carrington will make the move from Jerusalem to Ofer Yannay’s team, after all the details were already finalized between the player and the team that reached the EuroLeague playoffs this season.
As is known, Carrington has a contract with Jerusalem until the end of the current season, and despite the capital club’s desire to keep him, he prefers to take the step up to Europe’s top league. For the Reds from Tel Aviv, who identified his signing as a major target ahead of the summer, this is of course a significant upgrade to the roster in every respect, since in the league Carrington does not occupy a foreign player slot.
The guard, who will turn 31 in October, posted impressive averages this season of 14.8 points, 45.3% from three, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the EuroCup, along with 14.5 points, 34.2% from three, 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the regular season.
