Tesla Launches $225 Balance Bike for Toddlers Amid Delays of Roadster Model

Tesla, the electric vehicle manufacturer, has introduced a new product aimed at young children: a balance bike priced at $225. Named the "Balance Bike for Kids," this model is more expensive than most basic balance bikes on the market, which typically range from $50 to $120, and is priced closer to premium children's bicycles. The bike is designed to help toddlers aged two to five develop balance skills before transitioning to traditional pedal bikes. It features five adjustable seat height settings and supports a maximum weight of approximately 35 kilograms. Deliveries are expected to begin in late August, though the product is currently listed as out of stock on Tesla's website.

This launch continues Tesla's trend of offering products for customers far from purchasing a full vehicle, including a $1,500 motorized Cybertruck for kids, a $1,650 Cyberquad ATV, children's clothing, and an Optimus robot doll. On social media platform X, many users joked about Tesla releasing small bikes before delivering the long-awaited second-generation Roadster. The electric hypercar, announced by CEO Elon Musk in 2017, has faced repeated delays despite customers having paid tens of thousands of dollars in deposits.
