Maccabi Haifa Signs Forward Andrea Novakovic as Key Offensive Replacement

Maccabi Haifa is intensifying preparations for the upcoming season with hopes of improving on last year’s performance. Among the anticipated changes, the club is finalizing goalkeeper arrangements and eagerly awaiting the arrival of Serbian-American striker Andrea Novakovic. The 29-year-old forward, who recently agreed to terms with the club, is set to undergo medical tests before officially joining the squad.

Novakovic, who stands 1.92 meters tall, will be Maccabi Haifa’s tenth foreign player. He previously played for Regina in Italy’s Serie B, a team recently relegated to the third division. He has also represented the United States national team, earning three senior caps and seven appearances with youth teams, scoring twice at the youth level. The coaching staff views Novakovic as the successor to Frenzy Pierro, valuing his physical strength and aerial ability.

Additionally, fans showed strong support during a recent training session, notably welcoming back Yarin Levi, who returned after a two-year loan spell at Beitar Jerusalem. The club hopes this positive fan reception will continue throughout the season.
