Israel Faces Rising Heat with Severe Heat Warnings Across the Country

Following the dispersal of morning clouds, Israel is experiencing a rise in temperatures accompanied by heavy heat burdens across most regions. On Saturday, the weather will be generally pleasant with a slight temperature increase, but heat stress will intensify nationwide. Sunday will see a further slight temperature rise, bringing unusually hot conditions for the season, especially in the mountains and inland areas, alongside increased humidity along the coastal plain. Heat burdens will continue to worsen in most areas.

Monday's weather is expected to remain largely unchanged, with continued hot to very hot conditions in the mountains and inland, and cooler temperatures along the coast. These hot conditions will persist into Tuesday, maintaining above-average temperatures inland and in the mountains, with cooler weather along the coastal plain.

The Meteorological Service has issued a series of heat warnings. A red heat burden alert is in effect for the Beit She'an Valley, the Kinneret Basin, and the Jordan Valley during midday and evening hours. Orange alerts cover northern and southern parts of the Judean Desert, the Dead Sea area, the Arava, and the Gulf of Eilat. Yellow alerts have been issued for many other regions including Gush Dan, Jezreel Valley, Hula Valley, Carmel Coast, northern Negev, and the Shephelah.

Forecasted temperatures include Jerusalem at 20-32°C, Tel Aviv 25-31°C, Haifa 23-30°C, Afula 23-36°C, Ashdod 23-31°C, Ashkelon 24-32°C, Beersheba 22-36°C, Mitzpe Ramon 22-35°C, and Eilat 31-38°C.
