Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef Dedicates Mezuzah at Jerusalem's Shulchan Aruch Study Hall

A special event honoring Torah study took place at the Shulchan Aruch synagogue and study hall in Jerusalem's Ramot D neighborhood. The ceremony was led by Rabbi Rafael Sharbani and his son Rabbi Moshe Sharbani.

The Chief Rabbi of Israel and President of the Council of Torah Sages, Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, attended the event to deliver a lesson and affix a mezuzah in the study hall where a weekly Torah class is held every Saturday night. In his remarks, Rabbi Yosef praised and encouraged the various Torah-related activities conducted at the study hall. These include the Shulchan Aruch BeTaharah institute focusing on purity laws with prominent decisors, the global "Learn and Teach" institute specializing in laws of ritual slaughter, circumcision, sacred texts, and forbidden mixtures, as well as other diverse programs serving the local community.

Rabbi Yosef also recalled the close friendship between his father, the late Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, and the late sage Rabbi Moshe Sharbani. The event was marked by a strong emphasis on Torah study and community engagement in the Ramot neighborhood.
