Young Woman Killed After Stopping for Traffic Violation on Northern Israel Highway

A tragic accident occurred on Thursday afternoon near the Iron Interchange on Highway 65 in northern Israel, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Najjar Nasser Kabha from the Arab town of Arrara in the Wadi Ara region. The young woman was ordered by a traffic police officer to stop on the roadside after being caught using her mobile phone while driving. Since she lacked identification, she was asked to approach the police motorcycle to verify her identity.

After the identification process, the officer instructed her to return to her vehicle to receive a citation for the traffic violation. Just as she was about to get back into her car, another vehicle unexpectedly swerved off its lane, nearly hitting the officer, then collided forcefully with Kabha's car and struck her, causing fatal injuries. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and was taken for medical treatment. The police confirmed the incident and stated that traffic investigators from the Manasseh district in the Haifa region have opened an inquiry into the circumstances of the crash. The police emphasized that the victim was standing outside her vehicle legally stopped for a traffic enforcement check when the fatal collision occurred.
