New iPhone App Offers Ad-Free, Algorithm-Free News Feed Experience
A new iPhone app called HyperTexting aims to simplify online news consumption by providing a clean, ad-free feed without artificial intelligence algorithms. The app delivers a chronological news feed from selected sources, allowing users to customize and organize their content easily. Users do not need to register or create an account to start using the app, which refreshes content with a simple swipe and opens articles for reading with a tap.
HyperTexting enables users to personalize the interface by changing colors, sharing articles, and following specific sub-feeds from major sites, such as various sports channels. Each followed site has its own profile showing all articles or just attached files and visuals. The app also features a trends tab displaying the 100 most popular links from the sources the user follows, ensuring important content is not missed.
To add new sites, users can search by keywords or enter URLs directly through the Discover tab. Although still in early development, with limited site support currently, WordPress site compatibility is expected soon. The app includes a basic browsing history and plans to introduce a community feature allowing users to post mini-blogs. Despite some initial limitations, HyperTexting offers a refreshing alternative for those tired of digital noise, ads, and algorithm-driven feeds, providing a straightforward and aesthetically pleasing way to follow favorite content without distractions.
