German Police Shoot Man Who Fired Gun Outside Dresden Supermarket

German police shot a 41-year-old Turkish man who reportedly shouted "Allahu Akbar" and fired a gun outside a supermarket in Dresden's Friedrichstadt district on the morning of the incident. The man was seen armed with what appeared to be a musket rifle around 8:20 a.m., prompting eyewitnesses to alert authorities. Special police units arrived quickly, and after the man shouted and opened fire, two armed officers took cover behind a nearby car and returned fire. The suspect was hit, fell to the ground, and was bleeding. Officers provided first aid before he was transported to a hospital. He is now under investigation for threats and weapons law violations.
