On the yahrzeit of Rabbi Aharon Mordechai Rotner, a revered Hasidic leader, his son-in-law, the Tsharnobyl Rebbe, visited his grave at the Mount of Olives cemetery in Jerusalem on the evening of the commemoration. There, he prayed for both communal and personal salvation. Following this, the Rebbe held a celebratory meal in his Ashdod yeshiva in memory of the deceased.

The New Jersey Chernobyl Rebbe also visited Israel, touring holy sites and inspiring his followers ahead of the Days of Awe.
Other notable Hasidic celebrations included a joyous Torah initiation party in Petah Tikva’s Belz community, and commemorations of the ninth yahrzeit of the Union City Satmar Rebbe in Bnei Brak. In Ukraine, thousands of Hasidim traveled to the town of Ludmir for the yahrzeit of Rabbi Shlomo of Karlin, arriving in horse-drawn carriages reminiscent of past centuries.
Additional events featured the Pinsk Karlin Rebbe’s Sabbath in Meron near Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai’s tomb, and the engagement celebrations of grandchildren of prominent Hasidic leaders in Bnei Brak and Ramat Beit Shemesh.
