Beersheba Woman Arrested for Alleged Insurance Fraud Over False Car Theft Report

A well-known woman from Beersheba was arrested on suspicion of insurance fraud after allegedly reporting her car stolen, while evidence showed the vehicle had been moved to the West Bank before the theft claim was filed. The investigation began on June 30 when Beersheba police received a report of a stolen car. During the inquiry, inconsistencies emerged, leading officers to suspect the car was transferred to the West Bank prior to the complaint. This raised suspicions of insurance fraud and providing false information.

The woman, in her 30s, was detained by Beersheba police for questioning regarding the alleged offenses. Beersheba Police Station Commander Chief Superintendent Kfir Solomon stated that the police are committed to uncovering fraud and deception, even when disguised as criminal incidents. He emphasized that thorough investigation and evidence gathering led to uncovering the suspected fraud in this case, and the police will continue to act decisively against anyone attempting to profit through deceit.
