IDF Punishes Soldier for Meeting Antisemitic Blogger with Conditional Jail and Dismissal

Shira Brown, an IDF soldier serving in the international spokesperson unit, has been disciplined following controversy over her association with the antisemitic blogger Brayden Eric Peters, known as Clavicular. The incident caused significant embarrassment to the IDF. According to a report by i24news on Tuesday, Brown received a conditional jail sentence, was stripped of her spokesperson duties, and dismissed from the IDF spokesperson unit. After facing a military tribunal, she will no longer serve as a spokesperson non-commissioned officer and will be transferred to a different unit for the remainder of her service. Brown, who is expected to complete her military service in about two months, may face actual imprisonment if she commits further disciplinary offenses.
