During the latest episode of Israel's "Dancing with the Stars" aired on July 14, Amir Benay appeared with noticeably swollen lips. The cause was revealed by his dance partner, Romi Nof, who explained on Instagram that she accidentally elbowed him in the face just before their performance, causing the injury. Despite the swelling, Benay delivered an impressive Viennese waltz, earning high scores from the judges, including three 9s and a perfect 10 from David Dvir.

Benay humorously addressed the incident, saying, "For anyone wondering why it looked like a snake bit me on the lip." This injury is minor compared to other contestants' setbacks this season, such as Shahar Hayun's withdrawal due to injury, Nate Bozolic's shoulder injury causing him to miss a dance, and Eden Golan's recent injury putting her future in the competition in doubt. The intense training and competition appear to be taking a physical toll on participants, but Benay's injury did not prevent him from performing at a high level.
