Maya Key Says Amir Banai Ignored Her Instagram Message After Dancing Show Injury

After Amir Banai slipped during a performance on "Dancing with the Stars," he and dancer Romi Noof appeared on the weekly recap show "Talking About Stars," aired Thursday on Keshet 12 after "Lital Schwartz's Theory of Relationships." During the interview, host Maya Key raised the incident and revealed that she had sent Banai a long Instagram message of support, but he never replied.

Key told Banai, "You are one of my favorite pairs, and that is no secret. But we saw that you gave part of yourself to the floor. Then I sent you a message on Instagram and you ignored me. I wrote a super long message after I saw your dance. I wrote you a message from the heart." Banai replied that he is very bad at using Instagram and said, "Honestly, I am so bad at Instagram, I will look, I did not see it."

Noof then came to his defense and explained that Banai did not even know Key was following him. She said that a few days earlier they had checked his Instagram, and she told him, "Maya follows you and you do not follow her. How do you not follow her?" The exchange followed the pair's strong early performances and Banai's painful slip on the dance floor.
