Maya Kay Calls Out Amir Banai for Ignoring Her Instagram Message

During the weekly recap show "Talking About the Stars" on Keshet 12, host Maya Kay confronted actor Amir Banai about an Instagram message she sent after his slip on the "Dancing with the Stars" floor. The segment aired after the couple's appearance in the competition and followed a broadcast in which their interview was shown after "The Relationship Theory of Lital Schwartz."

Banai and dancer Romi Nof had impressed viewers with their first two dances, but the actor then slipped on the dance floor. Kay said she wrote him a long message of sympathy after watching the performance, adding, "We are one of my favorite couples, and that is no secret. But we saw that you gave part of yourself to the floor. Then I sent you a message on Instagram and you ignored me. I wrote a super long message after I saw your dance. I wrote you a message from the heart."

Banai responded that he is very bad with Instagram and had not seen it. "The truth is I am so bad at Instagram, I will check, I did not see it," he said. Nof then came to his defense, saying Banai did not know Kay followed him online.

She added that a few days earlier they had looked through his Instagram together and she told him, "Maya follows you and you do not follow her. How do you not follow her?"
