Cameron Taylor on Track for a Historic Deal
Valencia enjoyed a record EuroLeague season, which turned several of its players into hot names on the European basketball market. The team was unable to keep its biggest star, Jean Montero, who is expected to move to Olympiacos, but according to reports in Europe, it will succeed in retaining another of its stars, Cameron Taylor.
The former Maccabi Tel Aviv player, who delivered an excellent season in the competition and became one of the team’s most important players, has a contract through the summer of 2027 that includes a release clause of 1.5 million euros, which Panathinaikos had considered activating. However, according to BasketNews, Valencia and Taylor have reached an agreement on a new contract through the summer of 2028, which is expected to become the largest contract in the club’s history. For now, the financial terms are still unknown.
Taylor, who joined the club only last summer after two successful years in Malaga, averaged 11.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2 assists per game in EuroLeague play last season.
