Im Tirtzu Files Police Complaint Against Naor Narkis Over Anti-Religious Incitement
Naor Narkis, a prominent candidate in the Democratic Party and known for his anti-religious activism, has come under fire after posting videos in which he disparages and damages religious institutions in Israel, including the Chief Rabbinate, rabbinical courts, and religious study centers. These actions have sparked outrage not only from religious communities but also within the Democratic Party itself. In response, the right-wing organization Im Tirtzu filed a police complaint against Narkis this week, accusing him of incitement and demanding an investigation similar to the one conducted against Shafi Paz.
Im Tirtzu CEO Matan Gerfi stated, "Just as Shafi Paz was investigated, Naor Narkis must be investigated. We will not tolerate selective enforcement in Israel. It is time to end the despicable incitement by Narkis and his associates." Beyond the videos, Narkis has also shared content calling for the dismantling of the Chief Rabbinate as if it were a military target in Gaza. Former IDF Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Golan recently revealed he had a "difficult conversation" with Narkis, highlighting the anti-religious and anti-Jewish stance that appears to be part of the Democratic Party's ideology. No response has been received from Narkis regarding the complaint.
