Extreme Haredi groups took to the streets today (Thursday) in mass protests in response to the arrest of yeshiva students who evaded military service. From the afternoon until night, heavy traffic congestion, road closures on major routes, and disruptions to train services are expected. These are the roads expected to be closed: Route 1, Ben Gurion Interchange; Route 40, Kiryat Shdeh HaTe'ufa Interchange; Route 4, Em HaMoshavot Interchange; Route 6, Neshonim Interchange and Kesem Interchange; and Route 471, Sha'ar Ya'ah Interchange.
