Asus Launches Premium Zenbook Duo 2026 with Dual 14-Inch OLED Screens and High-End Specs
Asus has introduced the Zenbook Duo 2026, a laptop featuring two full-sized 14-inch OLED touchscreens, marking a significant evolution from previous dual-screen models that had smaller secondary displays. The device offers a high refresh rate of 144Hz and peak brightness of 1,000 nits, delivering vivid and sharp visuals. The secondary screen replaces the traditional keyboard area but can be complemented by a detachable physical keyboard that connects magnetically and works wirelessly when detached, allowing flexible usage.
Designed for productivity, the Zenbook Duo supports multiple usage modes including a vertical "book" mode and a 180-degree flat opening for group viewing. It comes with the Asus Pen 3 stylus, which provides a responsive and realistic drawing experience similar to the Apple Pencil. However, the digital keyboard on the lower screen is less comfortable compared to physical keys, and the software interface for controlling system functions feels underdeveloped.
Under the hood, the laptop is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor, 32GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage, capable of handling demanding workloads. Connectivity is robust, featuring two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a USB-A port, HDMI, and a headphone jack. The 99WHr battery promises over 18 hours of use depending on screen brightness and usage. Despite Asus's claim of a "hidden hinge," the central hinge creates a noticeable black bar when using both screens as one continuous display, which can disrupt the viewing experience.
The design is sleek and professional with a matte gray finish and includes a premium leather-like carrying case. Weighing 1.65 kg, it remains portable but requires carrying the relatively large charger separately. Pricing ranges from 10,999 to 12,999 shekels, positioning it firmly in the premium segment aimed at professionals, content creators, and tech enthusiasts who can fully utilize the dual-screen setup.
Compared to Lenovo's Yoga Book 9i, which also features dual OLED screens, Asus offers a more mature design with a physical keyboard and more extensive connectivity options. The Zenbook Duo 2026 thus stands out as a more complete and versatile dual-screen laptop solution on the market today.
