Dozens of Illegal Surveillance Cameras Dismantled in the North

Police forces located and dismantled dozens of surveillance cameras in Jisr az-Zarqa that had been installed illegally and controlled public space, while infringing on privacy and public order.
The operation was intended to strengthen governance and restore a sense of security to law-abiding citizens. As part of the fight against crime, police operated today (Thursday) in Jisr az-Zarqa and found dozens of security cameras that had been illegally installed in public areas. The cameras were dismantled and confiscated as part of enforcement activity against criminal elements.

In another operation carried out in Lod, 21 illegal security cameras installed in public space were dismantled. According to suspicion, the cameras were used by criminal groups to monitor the movement of security forces and gather operational intelligence.
Police said the activity is part of the ongoing fight against crime organizations and their attempts to take over public space.
