These fraudulent messages appear within genuine SMS threads from Pango, increasing the risk of users being deceived. The phishing texts may direct recipients to fake websites designed to steal personal information.

The Cyber Directorate advises users not to click on any links contained in these suspicious messages. Instead, they recommend accessing the Pango app or official website directly to verify any payment requests. In case of any suspected cyber incidents, individuals are urged to contact the dedicated hotline at 119 immediately.
