Undercover Agent 'The Nomad' Helps Police Bust Extensive Crime Network Across Israel
Israeli police, led by the Lahav 433 unit, conducted a nationwide raid targeting a large criminal network operating under the radar. The operation culminated after months of covert work by an undercover agent from the Bedouin community, known as "The Nomad," who infiltrated the heart of the criminal activities. During his deployment, the agent documented numerous illegal transactions involving weapons and drugs, including the purchase of four M16 rifles, dozens of handguns, and half a kilogram of cocaine.
The police raids took place on a Monday morning across multiple locations including Rahat, Tel Sheva, Bir al-Saba, Arad, Dimona, Eilat, and East Jerusalem. Dozens of suspects were arrested, among them 20 key figures believed to have operated without detection by law enforcement until now. The arrested individuals were brought to the Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion, where police requested extended detention for further investigation.
This operation is considered one of the most complex in recent years, relying on extensive evidence collection within a broad criminal network. The use of an undercover agent from within the Bedouin community marked a significant development in the fight against organized crime in the Negev and Jerusalem regions.
