Nir Berda, a 30-year-old central defender, is close to signing with Bnei Yehuda, according to a Sports 5 exclusive report on July 12, 2026. Berda, who helped Hapoel Ramat Gan earn promotion to Liga Leumit last season, currently belongs to Ramat Gan but is expected to move on as the newly promoted club will not block his transfer.
Berda has previously made four appearances for Israel's under-21 national team and was a key player for Ramat Gan last season, appearing in 36 league matches, scoring four goals, and receiving six yellow cards. Despite his role in Ramat Gan's promotion, he opted for a higher offer from Bnei Yehuda and will remain in the second division, Liga Leumit, for the upcoming season.
