The 30-year-old center-back chose Bnei Yehuda's higher offer and will remain in the Liga Leumit, Israel's second division, aiming to help the club return to prominence after six years away from the top tier. Berdea has a notable career including four appearances for Israel's youth national team and stints abroad with Budapest Honvéd in Hungary, Sabail in Azerbaijan, and Sepsi in Romania.
