Jerusalem Prepares for Fourth Yahrzeit of Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss with Memorial Events

In Jerusalem, preparations are underway for the fourth yahrzeit (anniversary of passing) of Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss, the late Gaavad of the Edah HaChareidis Rabbinical Court and author of 'Shaarei Tuvia.' The commemoration will take place on the second of Menachem Av, with various events honoring his legacy.

At 4:00 PM, a memorial gathering and spiritual awakening will be held at the "Chochmat HaTorah" yeshiva in the Zichron Moshe neighborhood, led by Rabbi Netanel Peretz Meirazahn. Following Mincha prayer, Rabbi Weiss's only son, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Weiss, the current Av Beit Din of Shaarei Tuvia, will lead the service.

Later at 6:00 PM, many of Rabbi Weiss's students and followers will ascend to his gravesite on the Mount of Olives to pray for communal and personal salvation during these difficult times. In Beit Shemesh, a yahrzeit meal will be hosted by the "Mivtzar HaKolelim Al Taharat HaKodesh" organization at the "Ohel Shlomo Michal" synagogue in Kiryat Hasidim, featuring Torah scholars and close disciples.

Additionally, the Edah HaChareidis will hold a yahrzeit meal and Siyum HaShas (completion of the Talmud) at the "Simchat HaTorah" hall on Pischel Street at 4:45 PM, attended by many from the Old Yishuv, including community leaders, rabbis, and heads of yeshivas. Throughout these events, Rabbi Weiss's works, including "Sha'ah Tuvia," "Shaarei Dema," and "Rabeinu HaGadol Amru," as well as weekly and special editions of "Meshulachna D'Malka" will be available.

In Torah and educational institutions, his memory will be honored with study and prayers for the elevation of his soul, invoking his merit for protection and blessing.
