Jerusalem Rabbi's Yahrzeit Observed at Ben Ish Chai Commemoration

An event combining the "Yahrzeit" (anniversary of passing) of Rabbi Yosef Chaim, known as the "Ben Ish Chai," with a memorial for Rabbi Avishai David Yitzhak, who was murdered in a shooting attack, took place in Bnei Brak. The commemoration was organized by the "Chazon Yitzhak - Od Yosef Chai" institutions, led by Rabbi Ovadia Yosef Yitzhak.

The event was held at the 'HaMarpessa' hall in Bnei Brak, attended by rabbis, public figures, donors, and supporters of the institutions. Speakers included Rabbi Lior Glazer, head of the 'Petach HaDvir' institutions, and Rabbi Menashe Zelikha, who delivered words of Torah and inspiration. The memory of Rabbi Avishai David Yitzhak was honored, alongside discussions on the teachings and legacy of the "Ben Ish Chai."

Donors lit candles in memory of the righteous and received gifts as a token of appreciation for their support. Among the attendees were Yehiel Levi, chairman of the Religious Council in Bnei Brak, and Shlomo Elharar, chairman of the Shas party in Bnei Brak and deputy mayor. Elharar read a special letter from MK Aryeh Deri, chairman of the Shas movement, who was scheduled to attend but was unable to due to participation in a television program.

The evening concluded with an uplifting atmosphere, commemorating the legacy of the "Ben Ish Chai" and honoring the memory of Rabbi Avishai David Yitzhak.
