Missing Beit Shemesh Resident Found Alive Near Nes Harim After Extensive Search
After extensive search efforts involving ZAKA's missing persons unit volunteers, the Israel Police, emergency forces, and numerous volunteers, Aaron Barkman, a resident of Beit Shemesh, was found alive near Nes Harim on Sunday evening. Barkman had been reported missing shortly before midnight on Saturday, after last being seen Saturday morning in the Ramat Beit Shemesh D area. Search efforts focused throughout the day on the area where indications suggested he might be located. Upon finding him alive, Barkman was transferred for further medical and relevant care.
Avrimi Kap, commander of ZAKA Beit Shemesh, expressed relief at the positive outcome, stating, "Thank God we ended the event with good news." He thanked all participants in the search, including ZAKA volunteers, the Israel Police rescue unit, emergency forces, and the public who assisted, emphasizing that the broad cooperation was crucial to the success of the operation.
