Bnei Netzarim Honors Rabbi Hanan Wizner After 40 Years of Teaching
Rabbi Hanan Wizner of Bnei Netzarim has retired after four decades of teaching first grade. Throughout his career, he taught at several educational institutions including the Talmud Torah in Azmona, Netzarim, Holit, Yevul, and Bnei Netzarim, shaping generations of students. The community held a farewell ceremony celebrating his dedication, patience, and kindness, with a tribute stating, "Whoever teaches his fellow's child Torah, Scripture counts it as if he fathered him." They wished him a long and pleasant life.
Rabbi Wizner's life was marked by personal hardships. His father, Tuvia Wizner, was murdered in Gush Katif, and Rabbi Wizner himself experienced the forced evacuation from the area. Additionally, his son, Yair Wizner, a member of the Karam Shalom security team, was wounded during the October 7th fighting and was evacuated amid the conflict.
