A special Sheva Berachot celebration was held this week in honor of the marriage of the granddaughter of the Vizhnitz Rebbe, the daughter of his son, Rabbi Yaakov Mordechai Hager, the Vizhnitz community’s rabbinic leader in Elad. The event was organized by the management of the Or Pnei Moshe institute, which promotes the teachings of the late Vizhnitz Rebbe, Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager, author of Yeshuot Moshe, for supporters of the committee publishing Divrei Elokim Chayim.

The evening was hosted by the speaker Rabbi Yechezkel Tausig. The guest of honor was Rabbi Menachem Mendel Tobak, the Vizhnitz community rabbi in Afula and one of the leading figures who recorded the teachings of the Yeshuot Moshe. He spoke about the importance of writing down and spreading the rebbe’s Torah, saying its fruits are now visible around the world.

The Tchernobyl Rebbe also attended and, after a l’chaim, danced enthusiastically with the groom and with his brother-in-law, the Vizhnitz Rebbe. Knesset members Yitzhak Goldknopf and Moshe Gafni were present as well and received words of encouragement from the rebbe to continue serving the Jewish people.

The program also included rhyming remarks by Rabbi Pinchas Greenfeld, who stirred the audience with memories of the late rebbe, and comic commentary from Rabbi Meir Stein. After birkat hamazon, the benefactors received a gift, the sacred book Veyadata Hayom by the Yeshuot Moshe, and the rebbe later led additional dances with the groom and the in-laws.
