The hall of the Torah VeEmunah yeshiva, founded by the Belz Rebbe, was packed for a major strengthening event that combined with the sheva berachot celebration for the son of the yeshiva and Tzohar organization CEO, Rabbi Menachem Hillel Klein. For hours, the building filled with yeshiva students, kollel scholars, rabbis and public figures from across Israel, all gathered to uplift the students and promote Torah study and outreach work.
Among the leading speakers at the dais were Rabbi Reuven Elbaz, head of Or HaChaim Yeshiva and a member of the Council of Torah Sages, Rabbi Yitzchak Ezrachi, head of Mir Yeshiva, and halachic decisor Rabbi Moshe Brandsdorfer. They delivered words of encouragement and guidance to the students. Belz figures, including Rabbi Pinchas Friedman, head of Mekabsei Hashem Yeshiva, and Rabbi Shalom Rokeach and Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Tzvi Rokeach, grandsons of the Belz Rebbe, also attended to honor the students and the outreach enterprise.
Rabbi Friedman linked the weekly Torah portion, the students’ spiritual growth, and the sheva berachot in his remarks. Rabbi Shalom Rokeach urged the students to recognize their own worth and abilities, while Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Tzvi Rokeach spoke of his grandfather’s personal concern for the success of the yeshiva and each student. One highlight came when Elbaz and Ezrachi danced together with the students and kollel members, turning the hall into a scene of song, joy and unity.
The event also featured remarks by Rabbi Eliezer Chaim Weber, a longtime yeshiva rabbi, and Deputy Minister Israel Eichler, who said the students are “the apple of the eye” of the Belz Rebbe and of the generation’s leaders. He added, “Each boy here is a whole world, and the fact that you sit and study Torah is the true joy of all Israel.” Also present were founders and administrators of the outreach institutions, including Rabbi Aharon Yehuda Kot and Rabbi Shlomo Dov Wider, along with Rabbi Mordechai Weber, one of the building’s founders, yeshiva head Rabbi Eliezer Zev Klein, other yeshiva rabbis, and Tzohar lecturers. The gathering ended with participants feeling spiritually uplifted and more aware of the importance of Torah study and outreach.
