US Congressman Claims Armed Israeli Settlers Detained Him and Damaged Vehicle in West Bank
Democratic US Congressman Ro Khanna reported that during his recent visit to the West Bank, he was detained by armed Israeli settlers. Khanna, who is considering a 2028 presidential run, said the settlers, carrying US-made M4 rifles, blocked his van and prevented his group from continuing their tour near the Hebron Hills. According to Khanna, the settlers surrounded his vehicle, verbally harassed his team in both Hebrew and Arabic, and kicked the tires of their minibus. He described the incident as part of his effort to witness firsthand the "human cost of the occupation." The event was reported to Reuters and took place earlier this week in the area of Judea and Samaria.
