Israeli Undercover Police Raid Event in Umm al-Fahm Following Gunfire Report
Israeli undercover police forces raided a celebration in Umm al-Fahm earlier this week after receiving reports of gunfire at the event. Upon arrival, officers observed several gunshots fired from within the venue and identified a suspect holding a handgun. The forces quickly surrounded the area and took control of the scene.
During the operation, officers seized a Glock pistol, a magazine, and ammunition that were thrown towards them. A second suspect was found nearby attempting to hide and was apprehended with a Beretta handgun on his person. In total, two suspects were arrested, and two firearms along with magazines and ammunition were confiscated.
All suspects, including the event organizers, are suspected of involvement in the shooting and illegal possession of weapons. They were transferred to police custody for further investigation. This action is part of ongoing efforts to combat crime, illegal gunfire at events, and unlawful arms possession within the Arab community in Israel.
