Israeli Border Police Raid Celebration in Umm al-Fahm Following Gunfire Reports
Following reports of gunfire at a celebration event in Umm al-Fahm, tactical unit officers from the Israeli Border Police and local police detectives raided the venue. Upon arrival, officers observed gunfire flashes and identified a suspect holding a pistol. They quickly surrounded and entered the area. During the operation, a Glock pistol, a magazine, and ammunition were thrown at the officers but were seized. A second suspect was found nearby attempting to hide, and a Beretta pistol was recovered from him. In total, two pistols, magazines, and ammunition were confiscated. Several suspects, including event organizers allegedly involved in the shooting and possession of weapons, were arrested and taken for further investigation at the Umm al-Fahm police station. The police stated they will continue to act decisively and with zero tolerance against gunfire at celebrations to protect public safety and prevent illegal weapon possession and use.
