Israeli Border Police Neutralize Knife-Wielding Palestinian Attacker at Rachel Crossing

During the night, Israeli Border Police forces from the Jerusalem Envelope unit thwarted a Palestinian attacker armed with a knife at the Rachel Crossing near Bethlehem. The suspect attempted to infiltrate Israeli territory illegally by approaching from Bethlehem and throwing stones at security forces stationed at the crossing. When a rapid response team arrived, the attacker drew a knife and threatened the officers. Following protocol, the Border Police opened fire targeting the lower body of the assailant, neutralizing and arresting him on site without any injuries to Israeli personnel.

The incident occurred in the area of the Etzion Brigade, where the attacker’s aggressive behavior escalated after failing to breach security arrangements.
