Sasha Obradovic Unveiled as New Head Coach of Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Club
On Tuesday, Hapoel Jerusalem officially introduced Sasha Obradovic as their new head coach during a live press conference. The 57-year-old Serbian signed a three-year contract and arrived in Israel two days earlier to conduct initial meetings and prepare for his relocation to Jerusalem with his family in August.
Obradovic brings over two decades of coaching experience, including recent tenure at Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade), and previous roles with Monaco, Alba Berlin, and Lokomotiv Kuban. Hapoel Jerusalem aims to build an ambitious project around him, backed by a substantial player budget, with the goal of elevating the club's status in European basketball competitions.
The club's management is optimistic that Obradovic's extensive experience will help transform Hapoel Jerusalem into a more prominent competitor on the continental stage.
